Phoronix has discovered a new Linux game called QuantZ, a "unique puzzle action game" based on physics, where your goal will be to control a three-dimensional object positioned at the center of the screen. Balls that gravitate around can be eliminated by shooting them into balls of the same color.
The game can be played in 3 different modes: strategy, puzzle and action.
Actually, QuantZ works on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX, but only the beta version for Linux is free.

Here is a quick video with QuantZ in action I have just recorded:
You can download QuantZ beta for Linux (it's not open source but is free of charge) from HERE (.deb, .rpm and .tar.gz). As you can see, the beta version for Linux has been released on Reddit.
Update: the links on Reddit seem to have stopped working. However, you can still download the QuantZ beta for Linux .deb file from HERE.
