If you use Windows, you must have experienced a sudden reboot or the 'famous' (or infamous) blue screen of death: these are signs of hardware failures but sometimes it's the bad drivers or kernel modules that cause these issues. In case of a kernel error, most computers running Windows do not show a blue screen unless they are configured to do so. Instead these systems suddenly reboot without any notice.


WhoCrashed (thanks to BlogsDNA) can tell you which drivers have been crashing your computer by analyzing crashdumb and presenting all the info in a 'human readable' (comprehensible) format.

But of course, WhoCrashed cannot always identify the culpit of a crash, mostly because all kernel modules run in the same address space so a kernel module can corrupt another. And also, a driver can cause issues to another driver which was actually running normal. So even though WhoCrashed cannot always be 100% sure, it is nevertheless a great tool for finding out what's causing your computer to crash.
