In Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal, Firefox and Thunderbird will finally get an AppMenu (global menu). The above screenshot shows the initial work on this done by Chris Coulson.
Just like at the beginning of the work to AppMenu, both menus show up (in Firefox and on the top panel), for testing purposes only but once the work is completed, the menu in Firefox / Thunderbird will be removed.
