CBS, the owner of Last.fm is trying everything to gain some money from the site it acquired in 2007, the next step being Last.TV, a project where they will add a video component to the online service.
The service is set to debut in January and will be FREE for users in the US, the UK and Germany. Users outside the countries will have to pay.

The company will offer a mixture of exclusive video content from music festivals and live studio performances from popular acts. The site's video content is expected to be made accessible through both Last.fm and a dedicated Last.tv site.
The move is part of CBS Interactive's bid to expand the Last.fm brand globally, both online and offline.
