Most of you already know the game called Freeciv, a a Free and Open Source empire-building strategy game inspired by the history of human civilization, inspired by the commercial proprietary Sid Meier's Civilization series. A browser based fork of the Freeciv game has been released, so now you only need a browser to play this great game.
Freeciv.net was released on 13 December and it's Facebook integration came today as a great addition for Facebook fans. There are currently more than 1500 registered players, in less than a month from it's release date. Hopefully, more people will find out about this great game and will start playing!

The Freeciv web based game is available at Freeciv.net and you can play both in single player and multiplayer modes, either by creating an account or by using your Facebook account and playing with your Facebook friends.
To play Freeciv - the browser version, you need a browser which supports HTML5 canvas, and a fast computer and internet connection.
The game is pretty easy to play: chose your government (democracy, communism, republic, monarchy, anarchy or despotism) and start exploring!
Have fun!
