Bisigi Themes Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Testing PPA (And Lots Of Updates)

Update: the Bisigi themes are now available in the stable PPA.

The Bisigi project includes 13 amazing Gnome themes for Ubuntu which comes with a PPA repository for easy installation.

Today, these beautiful themes got a new testing Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx PPA (not the same as the main PPA) and the themes will probably be moved to the main PPA repository once the developers are sure there are no bugs in this transition.

Besides the new testing PPA, the Bisigi Gnome/Ubuntu themes got lots of changes:

-compatibility with the latest Murrine 0.90.3 engine

-Metacity theme of Aquadreams and Ubuntu Sunrise is now based on the new Ubuntu Radiance theme:

-Homosapien Metacity theme (by Zac Barton) has been integrated in the Balanzan theme:

-And many other changes in GTK themes


To add the new Bisigi Ubuntu 10.04 PPA, simply paste this in a terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bisigi/dev && sudo apt-get update

Then to install a theme (unfortunately the meta-package which installs all the themes in not available for the Lucid testing PPA) run the command next to each theme below:

• Balanzan ( sudo apt-get install balanzan-theme )
• Infinity ( sudo apt-get install infinity-theme )
• Wild shine ( sudo apt-get install wild-shine-theme )
• Exotic ( sudo apt-get install exotic-theme )
• Tropical ( sudo apt-get install tropical-theme )
• Step into Freedom ( sudo apt-get install step-into-freedom-theme )
• Bamboo Zen ( sudo apt-get install bamboo-zen-theme )
• Ubuntu sunrise ( sudo apt-get install ubuntu-sunrise-theme )
• Aqua Dreams ( sudo apt-get install aquadreams-theme )
• Show Time ( sudo apt-get install showtime-theme )
• Orange ( sudo apt-get install orange-theme )
• Ellana ( sudo apt-get install ellanna-theme )
• Airlines ( sudo apt-get install airlines-theme )

Or, to install all the Bisigi themes, run this in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install bisigi-themes
