Create Firefox Installations Bundled With Your Favourite Extensions, Themes and Settings Using Silence Of The Foxes

Image and video hosting by TinyPicSilence of the Foxes is a utility that works for both Firefox and Thunderbird which will unpack your original Firefox setup, add your extensions, themes, profiles, etc. and pack it again into a silent package.

The application is not new and it was actually made in 2005 but still works and is great if you want to build a Firefox packed with all your favourite addons, themes and settings. Download and fire it up, choose a new project and point the application to Firefox Setup that you downloaded from the web. It will extract the files, detect your Firefox profiles and show you the files that it will add to the silent installation package.

By default it adds your preferences and bookmarks, if you want to add themes and extensions you will have to download the .jar and .xpi files and add them to the files to be added to the installer. Once everything is done, it will create a file sfirefox.exe which is your new silent installation customized package. You might want to go through the readme file for more advanced options.

TweepML Lets You Create Your Own Twitter Suggested User List

TweepML

TweepML is a website that offers you an OPML list (like Google Reader, for example) with some Twitter users you choose and bundles them together, making possible to share this list with whomever you want, embed it into your blog, etc.

Here is an example of such a list created by me, with some great Twitter users: http://tweepml.org/Web-Upd8-s-List/.

If you click on that link, you’ll see a list of Twitter users which are selected for you to follow. You can individually uncheck people from that list. You then sign in with your Twitter credentials below that list and you will be following those users.

TweepML, the format, promises to be extensible and open so others are free to use it as well. It’s based on simple XML, and Marcelo Calbucci, the man behind TweepML, hopes that sites start making it a standard by implementing it and including .tml files on their servers for visitors to access.
